MADISON, WI. (November 18, 2021) — To enhance the lives of people with disabilities across Wisconsin, the Wispact Foundation will distribute $168,098 to 22 non-profit organizations this year.
The mission of the Wispact Foundation is to improve the quality of lives of persons with disabilities through partnerships with the disability services community.
Wispact Legacy Grants range from $1,830 to $10,000 and will support disabled people in Wisconsin with housing, assistive devices, transportation, education, and recreation.
Wispact Inc. is one of the largest non-profit organizations of its kind in the United States that manages pooled and community special needs trusts for people with disabilities. Wispact was created in 2003 and serves more than 4,000 beneficiaries throughout Wisconsin.
The Wispact Foundation was established in 2021 to provide a broader scope of service and create more opportunities to improve the lives of persons with disabilities across Wisconsin. The endowment fund and the Wispact Legacy Grant Program was established by Wispact Inc. and is managed by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
